As an Electrical Engineer you will carry out a full spectrum of design tasks including requirements generation, system analysis, schematic capture, documentation and failure analysis related to the electrical subsystems of the robots built.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in defining system-level requirements in collaboration with the senior technical team.
• Review and understand engineering documentation to ensure electrical components are integrated successfully.
• Design electrical control panels, enclosures, wiring harnesses and cable assemblies that meet requirements and allow the robot to carry out the required tasks.
• Analyze, diagnose, test, and repair communications interfaces such as CAN and Ethernet.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Power to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a startup environment.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with electrical control systems hardware.
• Understanding of power distribution systems including 480VAC.
• Knowledge of cable management systems for moving applications.
• Experience with schematic capture and bill of material management.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar software package.
• Experience working in an electrical engineering field.
• Experience with sensors and actuators used in robotic systems including LIDAR, cameras, servo motors, solenoids, etc.
• Experience with safety-critical electrical integration
• Development of printed circuit board assemblies.
