In this role you will work with the enterprise GIS system, Work Management, and Engineering Design systems to ensure the integrity of the GIS maintained physical and electric connectivity model. You will be responsible for conducting field validation of inventory and construction work performed. Develop standards for appropriate documentation and reconciliation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize the GIS, Work Management System and Construction designs to perform a field review of as-built conditions of the electric distribution system. The field review will then be used to determine and correct discrepancies in aforementioned business systems

  • Utilize corporate supported IT solutions to perform QA work associated with design and construction of the electric distribution system

  • Ensure appropriate standards and clearances have been met; where clearances are not met inform supervisor so a discrepancy report can be assembled and issued to the appropriate resource

  • Responsible for conducting QA and exception reports field reviews, including field reconciliation of associated business systems

  • Work with indirect supervision across the business territory, stationed at all service centers throughout the lifecycle of the project

  • Reconcile data points from the field inventory into the appropriate business systems

  • Submit field conditions to the corporate GIS

  • Utilize mobile and desktop technology solutions to address aforementioned business needs

  • Work with Vendors, contractors and internal resources to support the field inventory needs

  • Ensure the appropriate maintenance of the Transformer to Customer relationship as defined in business systems to maintain the electric connectivity model

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 Years of Utility field experience & BS in GIS or EE I 5 Years of Utility field experience

  • BS in GIS, Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Utility field experience

  • Experience applying the NESC to Utility field conditions

  • Familiarity with Schneider ArcFM product suite

  • Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS product suite
