Head of Underwriting

Duties
·       Bring strong experience with sub-prime consumer lending across different products and services (e.g., line of credit, installment loans, etc.)
·       Devise strategies, tactics and processes to grow profitably during all market cycles. Responsible for managing PnL and driving profitability of all portfolios across all market conditions
·       Develop and enhance AI/ML underwriting models, processes and risk management in line with company and market conditions. Oversee research, development and production of AI/ML models for UW
·       Work with external partners, attend conferences to evaluate new technologies, data etc. to drive UW initiatives
·       Liaise with different business functions to ensure alignment of UW processes with Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Risk etc.
·       Maintain complete knowledge of rules, rates and forms for various products to ensure compliance in each portfolio. Ensure that all UW processes are compliant with laws, regulations and company specific strategies
·       Hire and manage global teams to operationalize all aspects of UW. Providing training, coaching, counseling and performance reviews to team members
 
Requirements
·       Experience in sub-prime consumer lending underwriting
·       Experience with AI/ML models for UW
