Job summary

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talented software engineers, while actively engaging in budgeting, recruitment, and retention efforts. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, ensuring the teams professional growth, productivity, and overall success.
• Technical Strategy and Architecture: Define and drive the technical roadmap and microservices architecture for the TMS application(s). Leverage your expertise to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
• EDI/API Integration: Oversee the integration of EDI and APIs, both SOAP and REST, to connect the TMS application(s) with external systems, partners, and clients. Ensure seamless data flow and efficient communication.
• Backend Technologies: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of technologies such as Spring and Hibernate to design and develop the backend components of the TMS application(s). Ensure the robustness, performance, and security of the application.
• Database Management: Apply your expertise in relational database management systems (RDBMS) to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and performance. Ensure data integrity and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience  managing and leading software engineering teams in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Strong background in establishing CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring and alerting best practices within an engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of IT security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
• Prior experience in the logistics or transportation industry is a plus.
