As a Sr. Test Engineer you will interact with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identify functional problems and suggest resolutions. Assist in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Document and analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports. Ensure testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards.
Own the design, creation, implementation and maintenance of test automation framework and departmental tools
Provide strategic vision and focus for the automation framework and tool development
Create test strategies, plans, and cases for the applications under your control
Assist/consult/guide development staff in the creation of unit and integration testing
Conduct QA code reviews and perform code inspections leading to optimizations.
Perform manual testing and other duties as required
Create defect reports with detailed steps, environmental conditions, and other details as needed to reliably reproduce the issue
Assure traceability requirements are met between test cases and product features
Coordinate testing activities with other analysts within or external to his/her project
Proactively seeks to improve product testability
Identify gaps in testing and works diligently at filling those gaps
Automated testing experience of web based applications, mobile, and/or web services
Deep understanding of automated testing frameworks and ability to create and/or augment functionality
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, especially in representing their technical expertise to a diverse audience
Keen attention to detail and ability to analyze detailed business requirements, raise questions and seek resolution to outstanding clarifications required for test case identification
